Description As a Nurse Extern, you’ll join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to gain hands‑on experience while exploring the full scope of the Registered Nurse role. Responsibilities
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), check vital signs, support mobility, and ensure patient comfort and hygiene.
Perform nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter care, specimen collection, and basic procedures as experience grows.
Document care accurately and communicate timely updates with the nursing team.
Help patients and families understand care plans and provide health‑recovery guidance.
Maintain clean and safe patient areas following infection prevention practices and equipment management.
Engage in learning opportunities, share ideas for care improvement, and collaborate with supervisors or preceptors to build a personal career development plan.
Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field.
