Field Service Technician

Location: Middleton, MA, US
Compensation: $39.55‑$46.00 per hour based on skills and experience.

Mission Perform service—including preventive maintenance, safety checks, corrective actions, upgrades and refurbishment—on equipment at external or Hiab locations according to Manager’s instructions. Contribute to productive customer relationships and follow best practice in all administrative and technical activities.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, perform service, and troubleshoot maintenance tasks on equipment such as forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts, skiploaders, and hoists.
Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices, and environmental requirements.
Stay up to date with technical developments via internal service bulletins and complete technical courses when instructed by the District Service Manager.
Respond to customer queries and concerns to maximize customer satisfaction & follow Hiab Customer Satisfaction Guidelines.
Keep adequate records, maintain documentation, and submit daily reports in the format specified by the District Service Manager.
Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to the District Service Manager.
Coach and tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary.
Conduct oneself at all times in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow the rules of the Quality System.
What We Are Looking For
Ability to obtain and maintain a 1‑year DOT Medical Card (required).
Valid Driver’s License (required).
High School diploma or equivalent (required).
5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations experience.
Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Own tools (required).
Knowledge of, understanding of, and compliance with Hiab USA, Inc. Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
100% travel commitment.
