Process Engineer - Consumables Lincoln Electric is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on driving process improvements, optimizing manufacturing operations, and providing hands‑on technical support on the production floor for Stick Electrode.

The successful candidate will leverage strong mechanical engineering expertise and industrial engineering principles to enhance safety, quality, and productivity in stick electrode manufacturing.

Job Description

Analyze workflows, conduct time studies, and apply industrial engineering methodologies to improve throughput and reduce waste

Implement Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives

Design, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical systems and equipment for stick electrode production

Develop and recommend equipment specifications, performance requirements, and cost analyses for new machinery and tooling

Provide direct technical support on the shop floor, including root cause analysis and corrective actions for process and equipment issues

Lead trials, pilot projects, and process validations to ensure successful implementation of improvements

Monitor and evaluate production parameters such as scrap rates, downtime, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

Utilize statistical tools and process control methods to identify trends and implement corrective action

Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D teams to ensure alignment on safety, quality, and cost objectives

Author and maintain operational work instructions and process documentation

Assume additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s Strategy

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Mechanical Engineering experience strongly preferred

Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in manufacturing or process engineering

Proven ability to apply practical process knowledge with a hands‑on approach to troubleshooting, installations, and testing

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen principles

Proficiency in mechanical design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and understanding of automation/robotics integration

Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data for process improvement

Willingness to work off‑shifts periodically to support production trials
