Seeking a motivated, passionate, dedicated, detail‑oriented, and highly organized individual to help expand the workforce department. The successful candidate is expected to work professionally, productively, and effectively in a fast‑paced environment, maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including traditional and non‑traditional learners, faculty, staff, and employer partners.

The key job functions include, but are not limited to, aiding the workforce department in optimizing financial performance, financial analysis and management, program development, reviewing, interpreting, and presenting data, as well as maintaining accurate record‑keeping. The incumbent will generate invoices, reports, and other workforce data and accurately, clearly, and effectively present the information. Candidates with a finance background are preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.

This is a grant‑funded position with the HIRED grant. The grant expires December 2026. Continued employment after the grant ends will be contingent upon SAU Tech's budget allowance and personnel needs.

Responsibilities

Generate invoices, financial reports, track data, revenue, and provide feedback and recommendations to improve performance and success.

Organize and categorize existing workforce data into reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.

Interpret financial data for the workforce department, predict future trends, assess risks, and advise on investment strategies for the department.

Determine areas for improvement to enhance resource allocation, leading to cost savings and increased departmental and collegiate prosperity.

Support the department in a better understanding of workforce needs, patterns, and trends, so we can make decisions toward risk mitigation, and improve the financial health of the department, as well as how we make informed decisions on strategizing for future demands.

Advise the department on financial acumen, forecasting, resource allocation, and productivity.

Gather and organize data to create effective financial models for departmental sustainability.

Assist the workforce department in planning, developing, evaluating, and implementing workforce programs and monitoring their effectiveness.

Maintain the accuracy of data and files and modify inaccurate information as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience with financial analysis or management, data entry, or a related field is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Highly detail‑oriented and strong attention to detail.

Exceptional customer service skills, communication, and organizational skills.

On‑Campus 40‑hour week position. If not residing within a reasonable commuting distance, relocation is expected.

SAU Tech offices are well‑lit with artificial lighting.
