Job Title: Birth Registrar

Pay Range:
$17.68 - $23.85 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the FLSA will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
Key Responsibilities
Expedites the completion of physicians’ worksheets by accounting for missing certificates, checking for worksheets on the chart and coordinating with the Incomplete Record Area in the Medical Records Department.
Downloads data onto diskettes, prints, and verifies birth certificates for the Division of Vital Records within the 72‑hour reporting period.
Maintains the confidential nature of the information gathered during the birth registration process.
Required Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum of 6 months experience with the completion, filing, and submission of birth/death certificates.
Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.
Minimum of 6 months experience in a medical records department; experience with medical record review processes required.
Ability to speak, read, and write in fluent English.
Demonstrated proficiency with a word processor.
Good organizational and analytical skills.
Typing skills required.
