We’re hiring an HR Generalist, LOA & ADA Specialist – a proactive and empathetic HR professional who will manage all leave of absence programs and workplace accommodations across our multi-state workforce, with a strong emphasis on California leave laws and ADA compliance. What You’ll Be Doing Leave of Absence (LOA) Administration
Manage all leaves under FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA/ADAAA, FEHA, USERRA, and company policies Serve as primary liaison for LOA intake, eligibility, documentation, extensions, and return-to-work Prepare and issue LOA correspondence; ensure accurate documentation and timely follow-up Partner with Payroll to reconcile premiums and leave pay Audit LOA cases and escalate concerns ADA Accommodation & Interactive Process
Lead the end-to-end ADA interactive process, including essential function assessments and accommodation evaluations Document all stages of the interactive process and maintain compliance with FEHA and ADA requirements Counsel leaders on modified duty, restrictions, and return-to-work planning Partner with HRBPs and Legal on complex cases HR Generalist Support
Provide backup support for employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and HR operations Assist with investigations, policy interpretation, and HR projects Maintain reporting dashboards and metrics for LOA/ADA caseloads Deliver training to leaders and HR partners on LOA, ADA, and best practices Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave and disability laws Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR/LOA experience 2–3+ years of direct leave administration experience (FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, FEHA) and multi-state leave laws Experience supporting California leave programs Strong HR generalist foundation and multi-function HR support Exceptional communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities HRIS experience (UKG/Workday preferred) Professional certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR, or CLMS) preferred Experience partnering with a leave TPA (Matrix/Unum/Sedgwick) Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets Fortune Magazine Best Workplaces in Aging Services list Certified as a Great Place to Work Strong internal mobility Anticipated pay range $70,000 - $80,000 USD Benefits
