Overview EY is seeking a motivated professional with solid experience in the utilities sector to serve as a Manager in Data Architecture, Data Modernization, and end‑to‑end data capabilities. A background in power systems or electrical engineering is preferred, and experience delivering business use cases in Transmission, Distribution, Generation, or Customer Domains strengthens your candidacy.

Opportunity You will help clients enable better business outcomes while working in the rapidly growing Power & Utilities sector. In this high‑growth, high‑visibility role you will lead transformative technology projects, apply agile and waterfall delivery methods, and coach both technical and non‑technical teams. Your expertise will drive the design, deployment, and maintenance of large‑scale AI‑ready data architectures.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and presentation of data architecture solutions to clients.

Guide junior team members and manage professional employees to deliver complex technical initiatives.

Advises senior decision makers and internal EY teams on data strategy and analytic technology.

Engage with senior business leaders to shape goals, define information needs, and align analytic requirements.

Collaborate with Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and IT to design data requirements, solutions, and strategies that meet client objectives.

Lead workshops and design sessions with stakeholders to capture use cases, personas, and business processes.

Direct and mentor global data architecture and engineering teams, establishing governance, security, and quality policies.

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovations to enhance EY’s capabilities.

Skills and Attributes For Success

Strong technical foundation in cloud computing, data architecture design, and data integration.

Experience delivering business use cases in the utilities domain.

Ability to advise senior stakeholders and present complex solutions.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Proficiency with data governance, security, and metadata management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM (required).

8+ years of professional consulting experience in industry or technology consulting.

8+ years hands‑on experience in architecting, designing, delivering, or optimizing data lake solutions.

3+ years experience with native cloud products (Azure, GCP, …).

5+ years mentoring and leading teams of data architects and engineers.

Deep knowledge of data architecture principles, modeling, warehousing, lakes, and integration.

Hands‑on coding in Python, Java, or Scala; containerization skills (Docker, Kubernetes); Git and DevOps knowledge.

Leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

Master’s degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

Experience at a Big 4 firm or major utility.

Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks).

Strong passion for innovation and emerging technologies.

Ability to foster an inclusive environment and build strong client trust.
