Associate Degree Apprenticeship Program
in our
Schaumburg, IL
office. The program launches in Summer 2026 (June 16 – July 20) and combines a two‑year
Associate in Applied Science
in Business Administration with an
Insurance concentration
(Harper Community College) and rotating work assignments at Zurich’s headquarters.
Program Overview
Work 3 x a week in the Underwriting Services – Processing Team while attending classes 2 x a week.
Earn a tuition‑free degree and a Department of Labor Certificate of Apprenticeship.
Receive a full‑time, benefits‑eligible position at Zurich upon successful completion.
Responsibilities
Verify producer appointment and licensing requirements.
Communicate with underwriting teams and external customers.
Research and resolve issues related to producer appointment and licensing.
Prepare regulatory notices and loss run requests.
Validate and prepare insurance documents and Auto ID Cards.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
No professional work experience required.
Enrolled and validated as college‑ready by Harper Community College Admissions.
Preferred Qualifications
1+ year of work experience or leadership in student activities, significant voluntary community service.
Interest in a career in insurance.
Strong customer service, collaboration, problem‑solving, communication, self‑discipline, attention to detail, and intermediate Excel skills.
Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $21.16 with 5 % short‑term incentive bonus eligibility.
Full‑time position with comprehensive benefits package.
Location & Schedule
Location: Schaumburg, IL.
Hybrid working – remote/office.
Full‑time, 40 hrs/week.
