Assist Bipolar Disorder Clinic research by conducting appointments to gather required documents and paperwork, creating and updating patient charts, scheduling telehealth appointments for patients in an electronic health record system, and performing other related duties. Responsibilities
Support research endeavors as a valued part of the team. Serve as the main point of contact for individuals with bipolar disorder; follow up to ensure issues are resolved. Provide exceptional support to clients via phone, email, and chat. Assist with data entry and database management; update electronic health records (EHR). Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions. Offer guidance in navigating research studies and clinical services; follow up with clients as needed. Collaborate with team members to address issues and improve research and service quality; contribute to support documentation and FAQs. Stay informed about research and service updates to offer relevant support; develop positive relationships with departments and community behavioral health providers. Prepare patients for examinations and treatments; record patient histories and vital signs. Participate in departmental meetings, continuing education, and opportunities to optimize patient best practices and interdepartmental collaboration. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and one year of clerical experience in a medical or mental health setting, or high school graduation/GED plus five years of clerical experience in a medical or mental health setting (including one year at Administrative Assistant level). One year of full-time equivalent applicable experience may be substituted for college credit hour by hour; minimum of one year of applicable experience is required. Ability to document patient communication and clinical chart notes accurately. Strong communication and collaboration skills with healthcare professionals. Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette. Ability to anticipate needs and follow through with internal and external customers. Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly with patients and healthcare professionals. Sound judgment in decision-making and reliable attendance. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data entry into electronic health record systems. Experience as a medical assistant. Two or more years of clerical experience at the Administrative Assistant level in a medical or mental health setting. Proficiency with virtual meeting systems (e.g., Zoom) and data collection systems (e.g., RedCap). Proficiency with electronic medical records systems (e.g., Epic). Ability to administer medications and treatments under supervision and to perform EKGs. Knowledge of mental health service delivery via telehealth; HIPAA and FERPA knowledge. Basic Life Support (BLS) and phlebotomy certifications. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Salary Range
$47,000+ depending on qualifications Working Conditions
