Production Supervisor - Asphalt Sealants - 2nd Shift
Crafco, Inc. has an opening for a Sealant Production Supervisor at our manufacturing facility in DeKalb, IL (2nd Shift).
Job Summary
— Do you have Production Supervisory experience in manufacturing and looking to join a great team? This 2nd shift supervisory position will be responsible for the safe operation of all mixing and storage equipment and ensuring that the manufacturing of all sealant products is completed in accordance with guidelines and formulation instructions set by the engineering department.

Specific Duties
—
Oversee day‑to‑day operations of sealant manufacturing, including proper coaching and training of assigned personnel to ensure an efficient and safe operation.
Support company’s Target Zero safety initiative to create an incident and injury‑free work environment.
Develop and lead a cross‑trained workforce.
Mix various raw materials per batch forms and follow instructions created by sealant engineering.
Lead department daily management meetings.
Perform root cause analysis when problems occur and conduct individual performance evaluations.
Maintain established quality standards for packaging, labeling, palletizing, handling, and storage of Crafco products.
Coordinate with purchasing to order and maintain appropriate levels of supplies and materials.
Conduct weekly inventory cycle counts to track and help ensure inventory accuracy.
Control the costs associated with operation of the department including labor, overtime, supplies, scrap, and tooling as outlined in the departmental budget.
Manage inventory storage tank levels for asphalt and schedule inbound and outbound tanker trucks for the roofing department.
Available to work 2nd shift from 3 pm to 11:30 pm, with overtime as required based on production needs.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 5 years experience with production supervision in manufacturing or plant operations.
Quality certifications, Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Continuous Improvement backgrounds are preferred.
Computer proficiency including email, Word, Excel, and MS Office applications and proprietary systems.
