Job Description Summary The Canyon Services Representative performs guest services for Indian Canyons, Tahquitz Canyon, and the Visitor Center, handling front reception, vehicle entrance monitoring, ticket sales, reservations, and administrative duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Handles front reception; greets visitors, answers phone calls, and provides information about Indian and Tahquitz Canyons and related businesses.

Monitors vehicle entrance into canyons and performs customer service functions such as collecting admissions, selling merchandise, and responding to guest inquiries.

Offers information and/or coupons for Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians business entities; sells discount tickets to the Indian Canyons.

Manages reservations for Tahquitz Canyon interpretive hikes.

Maintains Visitor Center inventory with brochures and coupons.

Assists with daily clean‑up of the Visitor Center.

Provides snack bar/food service (Trading Post location only).

Performs other administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

One year experience in retail, customer service, or related field.

Exceptional people, customer, and telephone skills; able to handle multiple guest personalities.

Ability to use a 10‑key calculator, cash register, and minimal computer skills.

Access to Sensitive Areas and Information Cash Drawer

Working Conditions & Physical Demands Must be able to sit, stand up to 8 hours, walk, reach, talk, and hear. Must be physically fit to lift up to 30 lb. and work in temperatures of 90°F or higher. Typically performed in an office environment, with occasional outdoor exposure and moderate to quiet noise level.
