Your Role at Cabot Cabot Corporation is seeking a front‑desk Receptionist to join the team at the headquarters Boston, MA location. This critical role represents our team and serves as the first point of contact for guests, vendors, catering services, etc. visiting our busy office from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Additionally, this person ensures the efficient flow of delivery receipt, visitor processing, and event support. This individual’s role will include supporting day‑to‑day operations, greeting guests and vendors when they arrive on‑site, explaining how to navigate our office, managing our incoming and outgoing mail, delivering packages, stocking the kitchen and maintaining weekly supply inventory. The ideal candidate will be friendly, resourceful, and proactive in managing a wide range of administrative and front‑desk responsibilities.

How You Will Make An Impact

Coordinate badging and hotel office assignments, handle deliveries, and support set‑up and clean‑up for in‑office events.

Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office.

Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.

Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable.

Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries.

Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).

Order café/kitchen and office supplies and keep inventory of stock.

Update office calendars and schedule conference rooms and hotel offices/desks.

Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning mail.

What You Will Bring To Cabot

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

2+ years of relevant work experience in a front‑facing role (reception/front desk/similar role) in a professional setting.

Experience working with external vendors, visitor processing, catering services is preferred.

Ability to accommodate regular in‑office presence required during core hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM).

Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain professionalism at all times.

Professional attitude and appearance.

Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Problem‑solving skills with an ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.

Excellent organizational skills.

Multitasking and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (including Excel, Word, MS Teams).

Strong communication and people skills.

Customer‑service oriented.
