Colorado Department of Revenue . This position is open to Colorado state residents. The recruitment may be used to fill multiple vacancies (full time and part time). The Department and Division information describe the mission and context of the Division of Youth Services (DYS) and its commitment to diversity and trauma-informed care. Location: 1406 W. 17th St., Pueblo, CO 81003 Responsibilities

Direct care and supervision of adjudicated and/or pre-adjudicated youth in a secure facility setting, including safety, security, and the enforcement of behavioral plans. Implement and monitor youth center programming and behavioral management programs; provide coaching and redirection as part of daily activities. Document observations of youth behavior and program responses; maintain logs and records in appropriate systems; document youth group activities in databases. Contribute to a healthy, trauma-responsive cultural climate; uphold organizational values and policies (Code of Conduct, Compliance Standards). Complete DYS pre-service training, ongoing center training, and online training; support problem-solving, youth relationship-building, and trauma-informed care. Overtime may be required on a rotating basis based on business needs; other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Substitutions: None. Ability to be on one's feet during shifts; work in multi-level living quarters; willingness and ability to physically intervene with assaultive youth when required. Must be a Colorado resident at the time of application and throughout employment. Preferred Qualifications

College education in behavioral health or juvenile justice-related field. Experience with adjudicated/detained youth in secure residential or behavioral health settings. Experience facilitating psychoeducational groups; trauma-informed practice; positive youth leadership (mentoring/coaching). Experience using verbal de-escalation and motivational techniques; relevant state service experience. Highly Desirable Competencies

Conflict management skills; strong work ethic, integrity, and dependability. Sound judgment, decision-making, and ability to stay calm under pressure. Clear verbal communication; ability to convey information respectfully. Ability to identify changes, hazards, or security concerns and communicate them promptly. Ability to document events concisely in written form. Working Environment and Conditions

Shift work including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may vary in duration. Overtime may be required; position is considered essential and may require reporting during inclement weather. Travel to training or alternate work sites may be required. Conditions of Employment

Background checks, licensure verification, drug screen, PREA, Trails checks, and other screenings as required. Minimum age 21 with no felony convictions or history of domestic violence. Continued employment contingent upon successful completion of training and annual training requirements. Appeal Rights
