Property Cheyenne Mountain Resort opened in 1985 and sits on 25 acres of land. The 4‑Star Full‑Service property is nestled in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs and offers impressive mountain views, golf, swimming, tennis, and other activities that create a unique experience.
Salary Range $52,000 – $62,000. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience.
Position Overview The Assistant Front Office Manager will oversee front desk operations, front office staff, and the overall guest experience. The role includes guest room assignments, payment processing, responding to inquiries, and providing destination recommendations. Additional responsibilities may include training, staff development, and scheduling.
Job Functions & Responsibilities
Assist the Front Office Manager in efficiently managing the department according to established team goals.
Delegate tasks and supervise all front office colleagues, ensuring duties are carried out with utmost efficiency and professionalism.
Handle all guest complaints and internal customer inquiries courteously and efficiently.
Encourage colleagues to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognizing them for their contributions.
Train, develop, and manage performance of colleagues.
Ensure all colleagues deliver the brand promise and provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.
Assist in scheduling to ensure the department is adequately manned according to occupancy, service needs, and cost.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
Service‑oriented style with professional presentation skills.
At least 2 years progressive management experience within the Rooms Division of a hotel.
Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset.
High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leadership, effective communication, and ability to improve the bottom line.
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
