About the Position As an LPN, you will be a vital member of Maricopa County’s Correctional Health Team, partnering with Detention Officers to administer medications, provide therapeutic treatments, extensive patient care, and participate in planning, implementation, and overall nursing care evaluation.
On‑The‑Spot Hiring Event The Maricopa County Correctional Health Services Department will host an in‑person hiring event on Thursday, January 22, from 2:00 pm‑6:00 pm at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Training Center, 2627 S. 35th Ave, Phoenix, AZ.

Valid, unrestricted license as an LPN issued by the Arizona State Board of Nursing or another state recognized by the Board as a multi‑compact state
We Also Value
Experience as an LPN
Experience in a medical setting requiring large medication passes
Intravenous Infusion Therapy/Venipuncture certification
Job Contributions
Provide healthcare to patients inside Maricopa County Jails
Provide health‑related education as appropriate to patient needs
Administer medication and complete related pharmacological procedures
Collect data for care needs assessment, report findings, and deliver appropriate nursing interventions
Monitor patient progress and report outcomes
Participate in orientation and training of new employees, contract staff, students, and others
Working Conditions
Ability to work inside a jail
Ability to respond to emergencies
Ability to perform CPR, push medical equipment, climb stairs, and lift patients on a gurney that may weigh up to 35 pounds
Being assigned to various clinical locations within a 5‑mile radius of Phoenix
