Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of participants by administering program policies and procedures.

Conduct weekly meetings with supervised offenders to review progress and ensure attendance at required programming.

Monitor each participant’s progress and recommend corrective measures when progress is substandard.

Maintain a broad knowledge of program modalities and services to ensure appropriate matches for participants.

Develop and implement discharge/continuing care plans and forward required documentation to the NJSPB or other supervising agency.

Perform risk/need assessments and create individualized treatment plans.

Conduct orientation meetings with new participants and explain program rules and contracts.

Set participant schedules, approve temporary changes, and confirm compliance with alcohol and/or drug counseling.

Collect participant fees, report delinquent fees, and troubleshoot equipment problems.

Report all program violations and status updates to appropriate agencies.

Facilitate psycho‑educational or behavior modification groups and document participation.

Represent the company in contacts with elected officials and other public figures.

May testify in court regarding participants’ compliance with court orders and facilitate screening of participants at jail.

Perform client services duties such as opening/closing the office, participant intakes, check‑ins, breath analysis, and drug screens as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Social Services required.

At least one year of casework experience with supervised offenders.

Driver’s license required.

Bi‑lingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.

Ability to become certified in cognitive behavioral skills within 60 days of hire.

Substance abuse or domestic violence certification or ability to obtain such certification preferred.

Basic knowledge of case management, referral services, and group/individual interventions.

Basic knowledge of the criminal justice system.

Strong presentation, public speaking, and facilitation skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills at all levels.

Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Problem‑solving ability.

Good interpersonal skills.

Basic computer skills.

Experience working in a typical office environment.

Direct contact with participants required.

Flexibility to perform a wide range of duties.
