Position Summary: The phlebotomist performs pre‑analytic phases of clinical specimen collection and preparation primarily in an outpatient setting but may be requested to work in other areas of the lab as needed.
Required Qualifications
Technical knowledge of lab procedures, functions and processes gained through education, experience or a combination of the two.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
State of California Phlebotomy License (Certified Phlebotomy Tech I).
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer one year of phlebotomy experience or completion of UCI phlebotomy program.
Licenses and Certifications Certified Phlebotomy Tech I
