Job Location:

This position will be located at the main campus in Jefferson City, or at one of the DHSS Regional Offices (Raytown, Columbia, St. Louis), pending approval and space availability.

Responsibilities

Serve as HAI/AR Program Lead for data management, including collection, cleaning, and summarization of data

Serve as HAI/AR Program Lead for the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) with CDC, internal, and external partners for healthcare-associated infections, multidrug-resistant organism, and antimicrobial use and resistance module NHSN submission and data needs

Provide statistical analysis support for HAI/AR Program for internal and federal grant related projects

Assist with maintaining collaborative communications with healthcare facilities and local public health agencies regarding healthcare-associated infections and multidrug-resistant organisms within their facilities and jurisdictions

Assist healthcare facilities with the on-boarding of NHSN reporting, as necessary

Minimum Qualifications

Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with at least 2 years of relevant public health experience, concentration in either Epidemiology or Biostatistics is preferred, but not required.

Demonstrated proficiency in common statistical software platforms (R, SAS, etc.) is desired

Excellent written and oral communication skills across a variety of audience types

Demonstrated proficiency in epidemiological techniques, methods, and surveillance, with the ability to interpret and analyze epidemiological findings
