Overview
Position: Medical Assistant at Concentra – Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday shifts (typically 8:00‑5:00). Location: 16690 Redmond Way, Redmond, WA 98052. Salary range is $21.00–$27.30 per hour, with the specific rate discussed during the interview process. Concentra is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/veterans.
Responsibilities
Perform ancillary testing and tasks (including but not limited to vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram testing and respirator fit testing) as ordered by treating clinicians.
Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
Prepare patients for physical examinations, taking vital signs and performing all required testing.
Perform routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinicians.
Triage and disposition all patients.
Assist providers during examination and treatment.
Prepare for and assist clinician with surgery set‑up and injury care.
Apply bandages, dressings and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
Dispense medications and appliances as ordered by the treating clinician and in accordance with state regulations.
Perform DOT and Non‑DOT drug and alcohol testing.
Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices as well as testing processes used in the center.
Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms.
Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, supplies are needed, or facility is not operating as expected.
Manage patient flow and volume, keeping patients informed of expected wait times.
Perform clerical tasks in both the front and back office associated with patient care and proper record keeping, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
Cross‑train to perform front office duties including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, check‑in/out, communicating wait times, etc.
Answer telephone as needed.
Attend center staff meetings as required.
Assist in maintaining a neat, clean and orderly appearance throughout the facility.
Qualifications Education / Credentials
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school (credentials in the state of employment in accordance with state requirements and applicable regulations) or Military Medical Specialist with current Medical Assistant credentials in the state of employment in accordance with state requirements and applicable regulations.
Job‑Related Experience
Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific).
Previous medical office experience preferred.
