Summary Working under the direct supervision of the Regional Account Manager, the Account Executive supports the new business production goals of an assigned region via interaction with brokers, underwriters and other internal and external customers.
Duties Include
Review all new business submissions in accordance with Underwriters and Regional Sales Managers
Assist with preparing and sending submissions to submissions team when applicable
Proactively facilitate conversations with brokers, underwriters and marketing as needed based upon initial assessment of new business submission
Utilize pipeline reports to insure need-by dates are met and apply discretion in prioritizing accounts
Follow up with the brokers for additional information one week after the underwriting team has made the initial contact for the additional information
Assist marketing and underwriting when needed with follow up calls to the broker to obtain needed information
Send quote release email to the brokers in a timely manner once received from the underwriting team ($15K +)
Maintain documentation of account file to meet compliance and internal quality control requirements
Assist in the development of strong business relationships with appropriate insurance carrier partners and personnel
Maintain knowledge of new and existing products
Input target premiums and quote need-by dates into the system of record
Update the system of record with the account information once received from the account executive, underwriter or broker
Manage and coordinate conference attendance and set-up at insurance conferences
Knowledge & Skills Required
Strong customer service focus with a highly professional attitude and approach to business
Knowledge of P&C insurance markets, products and industry operations
Excellent computer skills with knowledge of agency management software and insurance rating software; proficient in Microsoft Suite office software
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced team environment
Able to work under pressure and time constraints with significant telephone and personal interruptions
Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent; college degree desirable
Minimum of 2+ years experience in insurance account management or similar role
Property and Casualty License preferred (will have to obtain if hired)
