About the role
Are you passionate about authentic Italian flavors? Do you love sharing the story behind a great Parmigiano, a perfect olive oil, or a classic pasta? We are looking for an outgoing,
Italian-speaking Brand Ambassador
to bring the taste of Italy to local shoppers.
As our Demo Specialist, you won't just be handing out samples; you’ll be the "face of the brand," educating customers on regional origins, cooking techniques, and the quality of our imported products.
Key Responsabilities
Engage & Educate:
Proactively approach supermarket shoppers to share samples and tell the story of our Italian product line.
Live Demos:
Prepare and present simple food demonstrations (e.g., pasta finishing, cheese pairings, or antipasti assembly) following food safety protocols.
Drive Sales:
Convert "tasters" into "buyers" by communicating the value and authenticity of the product.
Set Up/Pack Down:
Manage the demo station, ensuring it looks "bellissimo" and remains clean and inviting throughout the shift.
Reporting:
Provide brief feedback on customer reactions and inventory levels after each event.
What we're looking for
Language:
Fluency in
English
is essential, and fluency in
Italian
is a plus. You should be comfortable switching between both to engage with a diverse customer base.
Experience:
Previous experience conducting food demos, ideally within a supermarket or retail environment.
Culinary Knowledge:
A deep appreciation for Italian food culture. You should know your Guanciale from your Pancetta!
Personality:
High energy, a warm "hospitality-first" attitude, and the ability to work independently.
Requirements:
Must have (or be willing to obtain) a Food Handler’s Permit/Certification. Ability to stand for 4–6 hours and transport a portable demo stand.
