Job Description Summary
Graphic Artist produces art and layouts for print and digital media. Reformats and sizes ad versions, prepares materials for printer, specifies type, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other Duties May Be Assigned)
Design logos, ad layouts, brochures, menus, web graphics, and client service aids
Develop graphics for print collateral, digital video signage, TV, outdoor, direct mail, and social media
In-house printing, trimming, and mounting of print collateral and signage as needed
Basic photography as needed
Create from design templates or original artwork
Ensure brand consistency and high level of quality across all work
Interact with Marketing leadership to ensure final graphic product meets expectations.
Maintain current working knowledge of graphics software options and capabilities.
Provide excellent guest service.
Must comply with all applicable ACCRS and SRC System of Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures and all Tribal Regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities None.
Qualifications Required Education and/or Experience
Minimum of an Associate’s degree (AA) in related field or equivalent from a technical school.
Minimum 2 years of experience with layout and design of marketing collateral.
Experience is Casino Marketing preferred.
Well-developed portfolio with examples of graphic design for various media.
Proficient with macOS hardware.
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
Strong typography skills.
Clear understanding of CMYK and printing procedures.
Basic knowledge in video editing and motion design in Adobe After Effects.
Knowledge in 3D animation is a plus.
Knowledge in HTML/CSS is a plus.
Digital photography skills is a plus.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
Outstanding organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities with a high attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills, in English, on the telephone and in person.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. Also may be subjected to a smoke‑filled environment. Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi‑line telephone.
