MR. is Seattle’s premier luxury showroom for retail & trade sales. Expanding our operations, we are seeking an associate to join a small team in our Bellevue showroom, located in the luxury Intercontinental Hotel Avenue complex. The role involves generating retail sales and coordinating with long‑term A&D clients on lighting and furnishing projects. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential. Familiarity with luxury furniture & lighting design is preferred; the candidate will routinely develop and coordinate events for the trade.
Responsibilities
Develop sales and design programs for residential projects.
Generate new sales in the showroom, turning inquiries & leads into sales opportunities while achieving monthly sales goals.
Develop new client base and assist in maintaining & growing current relationships with our established trade contacts in the region.
Design and implement a strategic program of targeted sales events (lectures, luncheons, cocktail events, new product launches, brand trainings) to the trade to generate new sales opportunities.
Manage a sample & catalogue library; update materials for loan to designers and clients while developing a database of digital files for product specifications.
Project‑manage from initial contact to final delivery: maintain attention to detail throughout the order process and ensure administration related to sales is completed fully and accurately. Fulfill requests under pressure and meet extremely tight deadlines.
Attend meetings, participate in product trainings, share information among peers and utilize vendor resources to foster continual growth of product knowledge and awareness of design industry trends.
Desired Skills & Experiences
Retail sales experience, customer success experience and/or relevant event‑planning industry experience.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, high self‑motivation and drive; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ambitious, driven personality seeking long‑term career in the furniture & lighting design industry.

Background in interior design or architecture; college degree in Interior Design or related field preferred.

Experience with AutoCAD; may include developing floor plans and layouts for clients.

Compensation & Benefits Salary + commission, expected range $65,000 - $95,000. Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision insurance, paid holidays and a generous employee discount.
