Position Details

Full‑Time (36 hours per week)

10‑Hour Day Shifts – 4 days per week: 7:30 am – 6 pm (Mon‑Fri)

Call Rotation Required for Week Overnights & Weekends

Week Overnight Call Rotation (1 shift within one or two weeks): Monday – Thursday (6 pm – 7:30 am)

Weekend Call Rotation (occurring every 10th or 11th weekend): Friday (6 pm) to Saturday (8 am) & Saturday (4 pm) to Monday (7:30 am) – Saturdays (08:00‑16:00) 3‑4 times per year

Uses Siemens Fluoro units, GE Ultrasound, Epic

Works independently with a multidisciplinary team performing fluoroscopic imaging procedures

Performs image post‑processing and circulating procedures

Participates in PDP program and Radiology Leadership Development Program

Experience

No IR Tech experience necessary; training will be provided

Radiology Technologists (X‑ray, CT, MR, RT, ARRT, etc.) willing to cross‑train in Interventional Radiology

Up‑coming graduation radiology students, graduates, or students in clinicals are welcome

Special Procedures Technologists or IR Techs with experience in Vascular Interventional Radiography are also considered

Requirements

Associate’s Degree or equivalent trade school education (or enrollment in a radiology program with completion within 6 months)

Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography – R.T.(R)

Responsibilities

Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.

Perform studies independently, handle on‑call situations, portable exams, and other sites as required.

Minimum Requirements

Associate or trade school equivalent education.

No prior experience required.

Licenses & Certifications

IEMA – Illinois only (excl. MRI)

RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Intravenous Therapy
