Responsibilities
Performs speech and language, swallowing, and cognitive evaluations.
Establishes care plans and ensures prescribed care delivery to assigned patients in line with standards set by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the speech and language pathology practice act in the State of Kansas.
Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
Promotes speech and language pathology services and professional development throughout the organization and community.
Reports to the assigned department leader.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
Master\'s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Active license in the State of Kansas
Preferred Job Requirements:
Prior experience in a medical or rehabilitation setting with a focus on speech-language pathology services is preferred.
Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office
