$21.02 - $36.96 Position Summary

Responsible for laboratory testing, quality control, phlebotomy, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Perform manual and automated routine blood tests. Prepare specimens for microscope examination. Operate laboratory equipment including centrifuges, dry bath incubators, and blood bank refrigerators. Key Performance Areas

Perform proper quality control procedures before proceeding with patient testing. Maintain accurate documentation of test reports, quality control logs, equipment records, and training checklists on schedule. Maintain adequate of laboratory supplies and place orders with purchasing as needed. Perform technical laboratory procedures with accuracy and precision, meeting accreditation and regulatory standards. Conduct instrument maintenance on schedule and as needed. Initiate troubleshooting procedures when instruments malfunction and contact service companies if necessary. Comply with safety guidelines and maintain laboratory cleanliness. Ensure laboratory compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies; conduct compliance testing as required. Maintain confidentiality of all patient and employee information. Adhere to all federal, state, and organizational policies, including IT and Disaster Recovery Plans. Maintain MLT license and required CEUs. Assist in training new employees on job duties. Work overtime when notified of required overtime. Qualifications

Education

A.A. or A.S. degree License and Certification

Appropriate state license required. National lab certification preferred. BLS preferred. Experience

Minimum of four years experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting.
