Position Summary This position performs a variety of diagnostic radiography imaging procedures to provide data for diagnosis and monitoring of disease and injuries in accordance with all applicable standards, regulations, and licensing requirements. Requires competence in a variety of equipment and technologies and performs duties in a range of acute care pediatric‑centered settings.
Position Duties
Perform a variety of diagnostic radiography imaging tests as prescribed by physicians and providers. Determine proper techniques to ensure optimal results in accordance with all applicable standards and procedures.
Perform regular equipment calibration and maintenance in accordance with established instructions. Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions to ensure continuous proper and safe operations. Report service needs and preventive maintenance issues as appropriate.
Perform finalizing functions including, but not limited to, limited coding using radiology information system (RIS) to provide for timely and accurate patient information and charge capture. Archive records in accordance with Radiologist specifications.
Maintain professional and technical competency through constantly pursuing knowledge and self‑improvement by remaining apprised of current literature, practices, and new developments in the fields covered by diagnostic imaging.
Provide diagnostic radiography safety information to patients, families, and all other affected parties to ensure thorough understanding of procedure protocols.
Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as requested.

Qualifications
Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program.
Pediatric experience.
Familiar with the surgical environment.
Ability to work in a team environment, inter‑departmental and inter‑organizational, as well as independently to provide the best of care through effective communication and operational efficiency.
Current ARRT registration.
Current Arizona Department of Health Services Medical Radiologic Technologists License or equivalent.
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
