Job Title Nurse Extern I - Med Surg (PRN Days) Company Tenet Healthcare Position Summary The Nurse Extern role is designed to provide expanded clinical experience for professional (RN) nursing students and to assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities, which includes participating in patient care planning, implementation, observation and evaluation, as well as reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities Assist the Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities. Participate in patient care planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation. Report significant observations to a Registered Nurse. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; nursing students who have completed their first clinical rotation of an accredited professional (RN) nursing program. Minimum Experience: N/A. Certification: American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required; must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
