Full Time Design Advisor - Birch Lane
Wayfair is hiring for our Birch Lane retail store in Boca Raton, FL. This role offers rapid growth, continuous learning, and dynamic challenges.
Base pay:
$22.00 per hour.
Sign‑on bonus:
$1,600 paid on the 90th day.
What you’ll do
Provide an authentic, friendly customer experience that exemplifies Wayfair’s commitment to relentless customer focus.
Leverage your interior design and sales expertise in the home furnishings space to help customers navigate their design needs and purchases.
Manage virtual and in‑store design appointments (including preparation of design deliverables, product curation, and follow‑up).
Utilize sales analytics and design software tools to drive store profitability and growth, supporting the overall brand (moodboards, space plans, 2D/3D room views).
Share your expertise in fabrics & finishes, bringing awareness of performance, texture, durability, and market trends using digital and physical swatches.
Efficiently manage your time in design appointments and sales floor interactions by prioritizing the customer experience while keeping communication open with leadership.
Meet or exceed sales and customer satisfaction targets, and other established KPIs.
Participate in operational store activities as needed: bringing new products to the floor, floor sets, replenishment and substitutions.
Bring a willingness to share innovative ideas and solutions to continuously improve team operations.
Engage in a high‑energy, focused, and dynamic work environment where products, promotions, offers, and operations can change rapidly.
What you’ll need
2+ years of sales experience, some involving high‑price‑point products (preferably in a design‑related environment).
Experience in design such as interior, architectural, graphic, with a clear understanding of design principles (spatial planning, fabric selection, styles and trends).
Passion for design, great customer service, and a drive to exceed sales targets.
Strong organization, self‑motivation, communication, and relationship‑management skills.
Prefer experience leveraging CRMs (e.g., Salesforce).
Demonstrated ability to work within a team sales environment.
Track record of thriving in a fast‑paced and changing environment.
Bachelor’s degree or college diploma equivalent preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Requires frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing; occasional sitting; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching; regular lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, focus adjustment.
