Assist Special Events & Promotions Manager with facilitating the operations of in-house events & promotions, which include giveaways, gift pickups, and player events. Events & Promotions associates also assist entertainment as ushers when needed and Motorcoach department. Responsibilities
Facilitate events & promotions by distributing gifts, Xtra Credit, and promotional merchandise. Assist in events by setting up event space, organizing merchandise and decorations, and filling out customer forms. Occasional cash handling. Must receive cash handling instructions and abide by property cash handling policies and procedures. Assist guests in requests for assistance, services, and information in a courteous, respectful manner. Provide superior guest service to all guests. Educate customers on upcoming promotions and events. Maintain knowledge of property information, including memorabilia. Prepare and facilitate decorations for special events and holidays and assist other departments as requested. Uphold the Mission Statement – We create authentic experiences that rock. Usher duties include scanning tickets as guests enter and exit the theater and notifying the Box Office Manager if an error occurs. Prohibit guests from entering with outside beverages. Assist guests in locating proper seat and section in the venue. Motorcoach duties include preparing group package incentives, including communication, bus payment, coupons, club cards, and group tracking; reconcile group activities and any payments due to coordinator at check-out. Promote outstanding guest relations and market Motorcoach packages to tour operators and bus companies. Create player accounts from group manifest; greet buses on arrival and explain Encore players cards and casino promotions; assist players with inquiries. Represent Hard Rock Biloxi positively with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors; Live by the Hard Rock Values. Qualifications
High School diploma or GED. Must possess basic computer skills and be knowledgeable with casino computer systems and Microsoft applications. Mississippi Gaming Commission work permit required. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Professional and positive image with high energy. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with people with sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. Clear and effective communication with Hard Rockers and guests; ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, and regulations. Excellent telephone skills required. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and stand for 4 or more hours; able to work in a fast-paced environment. Training
All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within 30 days of hire date, then annually. Some courses must be completed prior to reporting to the work area. Required training includes: Active Shooter Awareness Training Cybersecurity Awareness for the Workplace General Employee Safety Training Hazard Communication Responsible Gaming Awareness Training Title 31 Introduction Overview* Title 31 SAR Incident Reporting Awareness Training* Sexual Harassment Awareness for Frontline Title 26 & Form 8300 for Non-Casino Departments* Working Conditions
