About DanceOne

DanceOne is a global dance organization hosting premier competitions and conventions across multiple brands. Our events bring together thousands of dancers, studios, and families each season — and our photographers play a critical role in capturing the artistry, athleticism, and emotion of every performance.

We are seeking

experienced Dance Photographers

to join our tour teams and travel with us throughout the season.

What You’ll Do

Capture high-quality, professional photos of dancers during live competition and convention events.

Shoot continuously from the

judge’s table

for extended periods (up to 12 hours per day, with short breaks).

Deliver crisp, technically strong images that highlight dance technique, lines, timing, and emotion.

Work collaboratively with tour staff, judges, and production teams in a fast-paced live-event environment.

Travel weekly with assigned tour teams across different states (and occasionally internationally).

Requirements

Proven experience shooting dance and a strong understanding of what makes a great dance photo (technique, form, timing, clarity, composition).

Ability to shoot from the judge’s table for long hours (up to 12 hours/day).

Availability to travel most weekends (Thursday–Sunday) throughout the season.

Comfortable sharing a hotel room with another DanceOne team member.

Must use your own professional equipment, including:

Camera body

Lenses

SD cards & hard drives

Laptop for workflow and backups

Strong attention to detail, consistency, and reliability under pressure.

Ability to adapt quickly to different venues, lighting conditions, and schedules.

Nice to Have

Prior experience with dance competitions, conventions, or live events.

Fast turnaround workflow and strong file management habits.

Ability to work calmly and professionally in high-energy environments.

Why DanceOne

Travel nationwide (and occasionally internationally).

Be part of a passionate, dance-focused community.

Work alongside industry-leading brands and tour teams.

Capture unforgettable moments for dancers and studios across the country.
