Job Summary Hiring immediately for a full‑time salaried position as Senior Restaurant Manager. The role is responsible for managing and executing all front‑of‑house functions according to P.F. Chang’s established procedures and in accordance with the direction of the Operating Partner. The Senior Restaurant Manager is a lead front‑of‑house management role.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise and facilitate training of all Hospitality Team Members.
Articulate clearly to Team Members, other members of Management, and guests.
Develop schedules for all Hospitality Team members.
Hold pre‑shift meetings to provide daily focus and continuous direction for staff.
Hold front‑of‑house staff accountable for dress code standards.
Ensure compliance with state safety and sanitation guidelines.
Support the execution of inventory.
Manage controllable expenses for the area of responsibility.
Assign and ensure completion of side work.
Manage check‑outs for all Hospitality staff.
Ensure a clean and safe environment for all Team Members and guests.
Handle Guest Service issues professionally and with compassion.
Live the Message in all aspects of the position and inspire others to do the same.
Stand and walk for eight to ten hours during each shift.
Reach, bend, balance and transport objects weighing up to 30 lbs; lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
Operate kitchen equipment including wok, mixer, slicer, buffalo chopper and knives appropriately.
Job Requirements
3+ years of experience in restaurant management.
Valid driver’s license to perform occasional duties such as providing shift coverage, meeting liquor license requirements (depending on the state), delivering large catering orders (which may include operating a rental truck), making supply runs, local restaurant marketing, attending off‑site training and business meetings, and traveling between restaurant locations to support operations.
Experience working in a hands‑on, fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
Experience mentoring and training hourly team members.
Strong communication skills with the ability to resolve conflict and provide direction to your teams.
Preferences
Experience in a casual restaurant or upscale dining.
Experience working in a corporate restaurant chain with established processes, systems, and accustomed to corporate structure and protocols.
Involvement/understanding of managing inventory, cost of goods, and overall control of financials.
