Job Skills / Requirements

Previous Security Officer experience preferred.

Excellent customer service skills.

Must be able to complete a drug screen and background check.

Must be flexible and team oriented.

Previous truck experience is a plus.

Positions:

Flex Security Officers

in the Detroit, MI area. All shifts are available. Pay rate: $19.00/hr, paid weekly.

Flex Officer Explanation The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The Flex Officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts that become open due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers while safeguarding the health and work balance of our personnel.

Scheduling Expectations

You will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need; this may be a temporary assignment.

Your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary based on operational need.

You will be assigned to or offered shifts as they become available.

Some shifts will be scheduled in advance; others may require short‑notice coverage.

You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance that falls within your availability. If you know you will be unavailable, communicate this with your supervisor.

For short‑notice call‑ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts called. Refusal of more than 20% may negatively impact employment status.

Education Requirements High School diploma or equivalent.
