Upper School Math Teacher - Latin School of Chicago Latin School of Chicago seeks a creative and innovative

Upper School Mathematics Teacher

who is passionate about mathematics and connecting with and supporting students. Strong candidates will be well-versed in mathematical content Algebra 1 - Calculus, and have a demonstrated commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and professionalism.

Pay Range

Base pay range: $64,622.00/yr - $114,976.00/yr

Salary is $64,622 - $114,967 annually, based on education level and years of experience as outlined in our Faculty Scale.

Responsibilities

Teach 4 classes per semester.

Serve as advisor to 8-10 students.

Attend department meetings, division meetings, and all-school faculty/staff meetings.

Develop and lead an experiential learning Project Week (second week of March).

Work closely with department members, department chair, and division director to design lesson plans and curriculum that is aligned and responsive to student needs.

Write written narratives two times per year.

Cultivate an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Attend and supervise students during assemblies, gatherings, and other school functions.

Additional Opportunities

Coaching the Math Team.

Sponsoring student clubs, activities, or coaching sports.

Sponsoring student independent study projects or senior projects.

Participating in Professional Learning Communities (PLC) and other professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Well-versed in mathematical content from Algebra 1 to Calculus.

Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity, collaboration, and professionalism.
