Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Camp Director located in Empire, CO. The Camp Director will oversee the daily operations and programming of the camp, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for participants. Responsibilities include managing staff, organizing activities for youth development, maintaining communication with parents or caregivers, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and addressing any concerns or issues promptly. Collaboration with team members to deliver excellent customer service and a high‑quality camp experience is key to this role. Private on‑site housing with a mountain view (valued at $25,000 – $30,000 per year). Utilities covered (electricity and water). Meals provided during camp sessions. Access to camp amenities.
Qualifications
Experience in camp management, planning, and operations
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with staff, families, and community partners
Demonstrated expertise in youth development and working with children
Background in providing excellent customer service and creating positive experiences
Leadership and organizational skills for managing teams and overseeing multiple activities
Ability to manage safety protocols and resolve conflicts effectively
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in recreation management, education, or a related field preferred
