Van Driver - Senior Community Care of Colorado – Montrose

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Full‑time Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with occasional weekends

Essential Functions
Safely and timely transport Senior Community Care participants and report any safety issues to the Transportation Manager
Follow assigned schedule, adjust for unanticipated changes, and communicate adjustments to dispatch
Operate equipment safely and in compliance with vehicle licensing regulations
Maintain and complete required daily records (pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, gasoline purchases)
Immediately report vehicle or cell‑phone operating problems, malfunctions, or incidents to the Transportation Manager
Transport participants to and from medical/specialist appointments, activity outings, meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy items, and other necessary items as directed by the interdisciplinary team plan of care
Required Qualifications
High‑school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license in Colorado
Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and means of transportation
Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up‑to‑date immunizations before participant contact
Pass background check and drug screening
Handle information in a confidential manner at all times
Professional and diplomatic interactions with people
Preferred Skills
Good interpersonal skills
Minimum of one year experience working with frail and elderly population
Ability to read and understand maps and routing information
Knowledge of safety requirements pertinent to the transportation industry
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
Skilled at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with participants, caregivers, and co‑workers
