Job Summary Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) invites applicants for a 1‑semester full‑time Visiting Lecturer of Biology. The candidate will report to the Chair of the Biological Sciences Department. Primary responsibilities will be teaching a variety of undergraduate biology courses, including general biology for biology majors and non‑majors. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement, and service to the college and community. The position will begin January 1, 2026.

The Department of Biological Sciences is interested in candidates with experience working with undergraduate students and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for all students, regardless of background. GGC values innovative teaching, scholarship, advising, and mentoring (advising and mentoring are expected of all faculty). The candidate will be expected to perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in the teaching discipline; or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester credits in the teaching discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Terminal degree in the teaching discipline.
