About the Unit Corewell Taylor ICU is a 16‑bed Medical ICU providing ventilator support, medication management, surgery recovery, and bedside procedures. Nurses work with intensivists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to update patient progress.
About Taylor Hospital A Magnet‑designated hospital serving the area since 1977, offering specialty services such as 24‑hour emergency care, wound care, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a surgical pavilion, pain management, orthopedic surgery, inpatient rehabilitation, and full‑service radiology.
Scope of Work
Assist licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care and environmental maintenance under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Provide personal care and safety needs, with specific procedures and testing per the patient’s plan of care, under supervision.
Maintain an orderly unit environment with adequate supplies and equipment to facilitate staff performance of patient care.
Contribute to effective communication regarding patient care and efficient operations of the unit.
Facilitate admission, discharge, and transfer of patients per established policies and procedures.
Range of Pay
$17.31 – $20.84 per hour, based on experience.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent.
American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by completion of orientation.
Current CNA certification preferred.
Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.

Hours of work: 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Days worked: Varies.
Weekend frequency: Every other weekend.
