Responsibilities Maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, plans and delegates care based on patient needs, evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes, and is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Alabama or multi‑state Nursing license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers – must be obtained in the orientation period
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – required for critical care areas based on patient population
New RN graduates accepted
Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment, prioritize, and change tasks frequently
Department specific competencies completed within the provisional period
