Overview They are seeking a Manager of Interconnections who will have a central role in their endeavor to smoothly integrate renewable energy ventures into the power grid. Your duties will involve conducting essential research, preparing interconnection requests, overseeing external advisors, and acting as a technical liaison with regulatory bodies. If you possess a strong electrical engineering background, a deep interest in renewable energy, and the skills to navigate the interconnection procedure, this role presents an exciting chance to contribute to their sustainable energy vision.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive studies to assess electrical grid injection capacity.
Prepare interconnection applications compliant with ISO/RTO/Utility regulations.
Select and oversee external consultants for interconnection projects.
Provide support to Project Managers during green field development interconnection phases.
Serve as the technical liaison with ISO/RTO/Utility personnel for Interconnection Agreements.
Perform power flow and dynamic studies using industry software (e.g., PSSE, PSLF, PowerWorld, TARA).
Offer strategic support based on study results to the strategy team.
Generate specialized reports for management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum five (5) years of power flow system study experience.
Proficiency in transient stability studies with PSSE, PSLF, or PowerWorld.
Proficiency in industry-specific software, preferably PSSE, PSLF, PowerWorld, and TARA.
Effective project-oriented work capabilities, meeting deadlines and goals.
Preferred experience in direct utility/ISO/RTO interface roles.
