Retail Team Manager – Tennessee, Knoxville/Alcoa
Five Star Breaktime Solutions is looking for a Retail Team Manager to ensure customer satisfaction, maintain client relationships, and supervise route leaders and merchandising staff in the Knoxville/Alcoa area.
Responsibilites
Manage retail vending and market route operations for assigned client locations.
Interview, hire, and train retail employees and assign responsibilities to merchandisers.
Schedule time off for merchandisers and maintain operational efficiency.
Resolve customer complaints following company guidelines.
Execute and ensure compliance with planograms, promotions, new and conversion market installations.
Conduct business client visits, client presentations, grand opening events, trade shows, proforma development, and retail space design.
Coordinate retail installations, merchandising, and promotional activities in new and existing accounts; perform inspections and inventory audits.
Review financial reports daily/weekly for client satisfaction, data integrity, spoilage rates, sales collections, and labor cost control.
Maintain retail operating system in accordance with program standards; use reports for replenishment, merchandising, and inventory.
Schedule and modify retail service structure to improve productivity and reduce labor costs.
Collaborate with other Retail Team Managers for route efficiency and resource sharing.
Perform duties of merchandise specialists and warehouse personnel to support retail operations.
Adhere to collective bargaining agreements where applicable.
Conduct regular meetings with personnel and coordinate staff meetings.
Ensure proper handling of perishable foods, inventory control, pre‑kit warehouse, and trucks.
Communicate safety policies, secure vehicles, and oversee building maintenance.
Report any business retention or jeopardizing actions to Senior Management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience.
Ability to read, interpret, and write documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in calculating figures and handling percentages.
Problem‑solving skills in situations with limited standardization.
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Email.
General Requirements
Lift 50 lbs or more on a repetitive basis; reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
Must be at least 21 years old (DOT) and possess a valid driver’s license.
Consent to a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
