Operations Specialist

Overview This position is located in the Law Enforcement Directorate, Pentagon Operations Center (POC). The POC serves as the Pentagon and Mark Center's Public Safety Answering Point. The POC mission is to observe, receive, validate and react to information regarding indications of potential threats to public safety, physical security breaches, or compromises of infrastructure integrity at all Leased Facilities within the NCR and provide a safe work environment for the DoW community and its visitors.

Responsibilities Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required

Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (see https://www.sss.gov/Home/Registration)

May be required to successfully complete a probationary/trial period

Must be determined suitable for federal employment

Required to participate in the direct deposit program

This position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing

Selections from this notice are subject to provisions of the DOD Priority Placement Program for displaced employees.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

The employee assigned to this position is designated as a MISSION ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEE.

This position is subject to recall 24/7 and the employee is required to work shifts; days off vary.
