Compensation & Benefits Compensation is determined based on experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, you may be eligible for overtime, commission, performance‑based increases, and bonuses.
Reports To Area Operations Manager
Purpose And Summary Statement Under the direction of the Area Operations Manager, supervise operations of the assigned location, including scheduling, logistics, product handling, rolling stock, and on‑site customer sales. Assist in developing and implementing plans that maximize location profitability. This role includes leadership, customer relations, staff management, and operational excellence to support agricultural needs.
Essential Job Functions
Hire, supervise, lead, and develop both full‑time and part‑time assigned employees required to operate the location. Train employees to meet and comply with state, federal, and company regulatory policy and safety criteria.
Responsible for assigned product ordering, inventory control, and shipping/receiving of products. Efficiently schedule product delivery and oversee product application for maximum profitability.
Responsible for plant operations including but not limited to dry fertilizer blending and loading, the handling of anhydrous ammonia, mixing and handling of agricultural chemicals, liquid fertilizer, energy propane, and all seed products.
Responsible for the maintenance and appearance of assigned equipment, rolling stock, and facilities.
Attend all required meetings and training programs.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
Oversee daily operations of the location, including product handling, logistics, and inventory management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and providing expert advice on product selection.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Manage the operational budget to ensure cost‑effective practices and maintain profitability.
Support the annual budgeting process with recommendations and coordination of budget plans.
Collaborate with sales teams to company products and services, identifying opportunities for growth in the market.
Responsible for upholding, implementing, and enforcing the Company employee policy manual and safety policies.
Other Job Functions
Maintain the assigned vehicle according to company standards.
Comply with the uniform policy and uphold a professional appearance.
Follow GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures as they apply.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience preferred).
Supervisory experience to demonstrate strong leadership skills in managing a location is preferred.
Proven experience in agricultural retail operations is preferred.
Strong knowledge of retail agricultural products.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Ability to identify and address issues in a proactive manner.
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and teammates.

Other Requirements
Obtain a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker) within six months of employment and maintain a clean driving record.
A commercial applicator’s license within the first six months of employment.
Follow safety and compliance standards to help ensure their well‑being and the safety of others.
Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands.
The role may require occasional travel to other company locations or industry events, with the ability to travel independently and stay overnight as needed.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training, including education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training related to the position’s requirements.
Physical Demands
Lifting 10‑20 lbs frequently; 21‑50 lbs frequently; 51‑100 lbs occasionally.
Twisting/Turning frequency: Bending frequently; Climbing frequently.
Standing and walking on normal surfaces frequently.
Handling (grasping, holding) frequently.
