Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate daily activities involved in producing the products.
Meet production goals.
Establish and/or adjust work procedures and manpower to meet production schedules.
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality and employee safety.
Assist workers in solving problems.
Implement plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals.
Handle counseling, training and development of direct reports.
Education and Experience
Minimum 5-8 years in manufacturing, including 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
Associate’s degree or higher with supervisory certifications.
Prior leadership experience required.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S and World Class Manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures is desirable.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work in a multi-tasking team environment.
Ability to work with little or no notice of overtime when needed.
Ability to read technical drawings, specifications and procedures.
Good interpersonal communication skills – written and verbal.
Excellent organizational skills.
Computer literate – experience with Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP (helpful).
Ability to apply common sense in performing job.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to use basic high‑school math skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Production operators and testers.
Training Requirements
IFS Overview.
Quality Systems.
Hazardous Communications.
Physical Demands
Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Repetitive motions.
Work Environment
Production floor environment.
Personal Protective Equipment
Safety glasses required at all times.
Safety shoes.
