Position Summary The Dental Practice Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dental practice. Responsible for overseeing administrative tasks, financial management, and staff coordination, the manager serves as a central point of contact for internal team members and external stakeholders. Duties include managing schedules, handling patient inquiries, maintaining records, and implementing office policies. The manager collaborates with dentists and other staff to optimize patient care delivery and enhance the overall patient experience. Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential for success in this role.
Duties And Responsibilities
Serve as an office facilitator for all personnel, acting as liaison between office and corporate and providing positive leadership
Supervise all treatment support systems and patient flow sequencing
Maintain collection controls and systems
Monitor overall office expenses
Oversee daily closeout functions and daily deposit with the corporate office
Evaluate work performance of subordinates and mentor, counsel, and provide discipline when necessary
Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned
Qualifications
5+ years’ work experience in a dental or medical office with at least 1+ years as supervisor or management level with direct reports required
Strong customer service orientation towards patients and staff
Easily able to learn new technologies and systems required
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
Requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings and weekends as needed
Experience using Outlook, Word, Excel required
High School diploma or GED required
Knowledge And Skills / Expected Competencies
Strong customer service orientation towards patients and staff
Easily able to learn new technologies and systems as required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to review critical issues, solve problems, and create action plans
Ability to develop and implement new approaches to improve processes, procedures, and the general work environment
Excellent organization, prioritization, follow‑up, analytical and time‑management skills, with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Ability to use independent judgement and manage and impart confidential information
