Operations Manager - Heavy Construction
MasTec Advanced Technologies seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee heavy construction projects and lead field operations.

Overview The Operations Manager manages field operations, coordinates with clients and subcontractors, and ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with design and safety standards.
Job Summary The Operations Manager provides administrative and technical oversight for projects and directs field operations through subordinate managers, collaborating with customers, senior leaders, and cross‑departmental personnel.
Responsibilities
Oversee construction effort to ensure projects are built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
Interface with field managers, clients, subcontractors, and owners to assure customer satisfaction.
Plan, coordinate, and supervise activities of all operations employees on assigned projects.
Update project schedules on a weekly basis and prepare status reports.
Visit project sites to maintain direct contact with projects in progress.
Assist in dispute resolution and negotiate construction problems.
Manage bid projects, including P&L responsibility and fleet asset management.
Work with the Office Manager to ensure compliance with internal reporting deadlines.
Prepare weekly revenue and cost reports and submit invoicing.
Ensure adherence to company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards.
Support safety program implementation and interpretation.
Examine estimates for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare management and client reports, including dollar estimates and variance analysis.
Analyze projects for budget adherence and profitability.
Supervise 3 to 10 supervisors, providing training, performance appraisal, and disciplinary actions.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience in duct bank, manhole, and heavy construction.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Previous supervisory experience.
Preferred
8 or more years of related experience with significant supervisory experience.
OSHA 10 Certification.
Physical Demands and Work Environment The position is primarily sedentary with some filing or lifting. Employees must bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds. Standard office equipment is used during routine tasks.
