Operational Excellence Manager leads strategy and hands‑on execution to drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and world‑class safety and quality in our corrugated sheet plant. The role partners with plant leadership and cross‑functional teams to deliver measurable gains in productivity, cost, and customer satisfaction while sustaining Lean, 5S, Six Sigma and robust safety programs. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; Master’s preferred. 5+ years manufacturing leadership; 3+ years Continuous Improvement/Lean focus. Proven Lean transformation track record. Strong knowledge of Lean tools (5S, SMED, VSM, standard work, visual management) and Six Sigma methodologies. Comprehensive understanding of OSHA safety standards and quality management systems. Exceptional communication, facilitation, and change‑management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using ERP and data‑analysis tools. Preferred Qualifications
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent certification. Familiarity with sheet plant operations (die cutting, gluing, printing, converting). Bilingual preferred but not required. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Manufacturing plant environment. Regular exposure to machinery, noise, forklifts, and moving equipment. Must walk, stand, and navigate production floor for extended periods. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; PPE required. Occasional extended hours or weekends based on business needs. Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement & Lean Leadership (≈40%)
– Develop, lead, and sustain a multi‑year operations excellence roadmap; facilitate Kaizen events, value‑stream mapping, and other Lean tools; monitor KPIs; coach managers; champion employee engagement. Plant Safety Management (≈30%)
– Own plant safety strategy, conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations; lead safety committee activities and training programs. Quality Assurance (≈30%)
– Direct plant quality systems, lead root‑cause analysis and corrective action, drive defect‑reduction projects, ensure audit compliance. Company Profile
