Duties and Responsibilities
Determines need for repairs by road test, by use of mechanical testing devices, by questioning customer about vehicle's performance, or by visual inspection of vehicle.
Estimates cost of repair and works within budget.
Maintains a detailed repair log with costs of parts and labor for repaired vehicles.
Reviews work tickets and turns in invoices to Office Manager to ensure payment in a timely manner.
Directly supervises the mechanic.
Shops for parts online or local vendors.
Communicates repair issues with Manager and customers.
Inspects new inventory vehicles.
Compares shops to find the lowest repair costs, protecting company interests.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your direct manager.
Follows company policies and procedures and supports company mission, vision, values, and standards of ethics.
Daily attendance required to ensure all duties are completed in a timely fashion.
