Role Overview As the
PMO Manager , you will oversee the Project Management team and drive the execution of project plans for new and existing products, operations, and other miscellaneous projects serving our Biosciences and Healthcare customer needs. You will lead strategic planning and coordination of people and resources to sequence, coordinate, and execute projects across portfolios. The role requires excellent cross‑functional collaboration, communication, and the ability to influence and coordinate others to achieve objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage the work of a team of project managers and develop team members for their current role and future career opportunities.
Plan strategy, sequencing, coordination, and implementation of projects across portfolios. Manage scope changes and impact to project goals, timelines, and budgets across portfolios.
Lead multi‑location, cross‑functional teams to deliver new products to market through a structured stage‑gate process. Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks. Manage NPD program delivery, risks, and timing.
Use critical‑path management methodologies to manage schedule, scope, and resource requirements. Project managers take P&L accountability for all NPD activity through product launch.
Manage objectives and influence teams without direct authority, while gaining support and maintaining schedule velocity. Advocate for improving program efficiency and scaling the team's efforts.
Facilitate, nurture, and develop individuals in the elements of project management. Hold workstreams, functional leaders, and individuals accountable to project commitments and timelines.
Own the product development process, continuously improve product development processes and key assets/tools/forms/standards that the team utilizes. Manage the gate review schedule, host periodic reviews, and drive organizational accountability.
Qualifications
6‑10 years related work experience; PMO management, experience managing cross‑functional teams and leading people.
BS in a relevant engineering field (mechanical, electrical, industrial, process).
New Product Experience required (Design, Test, Supplier Readiness & Manufacturing Integration).
Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency in MS Project or other project software.
Experience in project portfolio, prioritization, and demand management preferred.
PMI PMP Certification preferred.
10% travel required.
Compensation Base Pay Range: $90,000 – $137,000+
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, and geographic location where the work is performed.
