Summary of Position The General Manager is accountable for the full management and operations of the restaurant, ensuring team members are hospitality‑focused, people‑focused, and meet all performance expectations. The General Manager reports to the District Manager, supervises Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Members, and operates the restaurant in support of the business plan while embodying Capstone Restaurant Group’s values.
Responsibilities
Recruit and hire staff, maintaining a bench for future growth.
Execute all marketing plans, ensuring proper installation of POP and menu board elements.
Staff the restaurant properly and ensure team members are trained to perform their jobs through effective training programs.
Keep the restaurant open and fully operational during business hours as defined by the District Manager, Regional Director of Operations, and Operating Partner.
Provide leadership by fostering excitement, enthusiasm, a positive mental attitude, and commitment to company objectives.
Maintain correct inventory levels and keep all equipment in excellent condition through approved vendors.
Set an example by maintaining an excellent working knowledge and high proficiency in all phases of restaurant operations and technology.
Supervise in accordance with established performance and operating policies outlined in the operations standards manual.
Develop and motivate Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Members to perform at their highest potential.
Review preliminary P/Ls and forward questions to your District Manager.
Adhere to all HR, sanitation, safety, and security policies and procedures to provide a safe, compliant environment.
Qualifications
3‑5 years of management experience in a quick‑service/fast‑food dining concept.
Financial/analytical aptitude, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and P&L management.
Competencies
Valid driver’s license.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts to ensure essential duties are completed.
Proficiency in operating all equipment necessary to run the restaurant.
Strong decision‑making under pressure, with appropriate delegation.
Strong conflict‑resolution skills.
High sense of urgency.
Self‑motivated.
Excellent organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
Physical Requirements
Stand for long periods of time.
Work around high temperatures.
Work in close quarters with others.
Lift 50 lb comfortably.
Use various cleaning products.
Maintain a continuous high pace, under pressure, while meeting quality and speed standards.
Pay Range & Benefits USD $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 / yr.
